NFL Football Odds: King Gains Momentum With Double Digit Streak

The Green Bay Packers won their 10th straight game last weekend, dating back to Week 16 of the 2010-11 season and including their Super Bowl XLV championship. Now with the Atlanta Falcons on the schedule in Week 5 it's hard not to see why they're listed as the overwhelming favorites on Bodog's NFL futures board.

Though the Falcons, spearheaded by quarterback Matt Ryan, are an admirable opponent with a .500 record through four weeks, the momentum that Aaron Rodgers and company have heading into October is hard to ignore.

Just two teams in the NFL remain undefeated (the other being the Detroit Lions), and none have a quarterback with a better rating than the reigning 2011 Super Bowl MVP.

According to Bodog's online sportsbook, the early success is enough to land the Packers 15/4 odds of winning the 2012 Super Bowl, compared to Atlanta's line of 30/1.

Can Green Bay follow through on expectations against a Falcons offense that has fluctuated wildly in performance through the first four weeks of the season? It seems likely, and that's why they're touted as individual game favorites on the NFL odds lines prior to the match.

With the NFC North heating up early in 2011 and all eyes on whether or not the Lions can remain a legitimate contender for the length of the season, now would be an excellent time for the Packers to win No. 11.
